What is eTenderer?

eTenderer is an online tendering and procurement solution. The system has been designed to permit teams to prepare and submit online tender invitations to a selective list of tenderers. The tenderers can then respond via an electronic sealed bid along with their associated documentation. The tenders can only be opened by the tender administrators on the predefined tender opening date.

The process draws on established procedures which will be familiar to regular users of the-project online information collaboration system. It doesn't matter if you have not yet participated in the-project as you should find the tendering process logical and intuitive. Should you require extra assistance our support team is available to help and support manuals are available online.

How does eTenderer work?

eTenderer works on the following model of processes (please take note of the following terms):

Tender Administrator: The person responsible for creating and maintaining the tender as well as making the final award to the successful bid.

Tenderer: The company or individual invited to submit a tender bid.

Tender Viewer: The individuals who will be given access to the submitted bids once the tender enters the open phase. They can then review the tender submissions and make recommendations.

Open date: the specified date in which all tender bids must be submitted.

1. The Tender Administrator creates a Tender Package specifing the Open Date, the Documents associated with the tender, the Tender Viewers and the Tenderers
2. The Tender Package is activated, invitations to view the Tender Package are automatically emailed.
3. Tender Viewers and Tenderers can log onto the system to view documents, send emails and submit their Tender Bid.
*** Please Note ***
Tender Administrators cannot view Tender Bids at this stage
4. On the Open Date the Tender Administrators can view the Tender Bids and then award the Tender Package to a Tenderer

Is your data secure?

The need for greater security is a continuously evolving process with every provider trying to increase security without reducing system speed. Today, the most common form of SSL encryption on the Internet is 40-bit and this offers an acceptable level of security for many e-commerce transactions. 128-bit encryption is literally trillions of times stronger and is currently impenetrable. ETenderer is offered with 128 bit encryption as standard and we are confident that user’s information is now transferred across the internet with the same level of security as internet banks.

How resilient is the system?

Our servers have excellent resilience and redundancy. We consistently achieve service levels in excess of 99.9%. Your data is uploaded to our primary hosting facility which is a copy of the original data stored by the publishing owner. The primary servers are mirrored to warm standby servers and replicated hourly to another site. This maximises continuity of service in the event of a disaster. The hosting facilities are state of the art and house modern servers which are safeguarded against component failure using uninterruptible power supplies, dual redundant power supplies, raid 5 hard disk controllers, hot swappable hard disk drives and dual processors. Backups of the project information are taken off site daily with monthly tapes stored indefinitely.

Where is the eTenderer operation based, and what are the arrangements for continuity of service?

Sarcophagus Ltd's headquarters are in Wakefield, situated in Yorkshire, England. Your data is stored at two UK based data centres and mirrored to warm standby servers. Data is also replicated to another site to maximise security and resilience

Is support available?

Our qualified telephone support staff normally operate a 9hr x 5 day hotline. But we can operate 24hr x 7 day depending upon the client needs and budget.

Are there any limits to the numbers of parties using the system?

eTenderer has an unlimited capacity. The number of users is set by your own team; however costs are based upon the number of users, the project duration and likely data generation.

How much does eTenderer cost?

For quotes and assistance on our pricing policy please contact us via the form on the contact page or request a quote for access to the-project.

How quickly can a new project be implemented?

Your project can be up and running in less than 10 minutes using standard templates from similar projects. A tender can be up and running in a matter of minutes or hours, not days.
